European Structural Funds

Employability Project

Closing Date:  Monday 29 November 2021

The Moray Council as lead partner for the Local Employability Partnership is issuing a call for a Challenge Fund to take forward projects in the Moray area.  Up to £800,000 of European Social Funds are available for this purpose.

There is an opportunity for organisations to use some of that funding for projects which fit the criteria, and fit with our local employability partnership demand statement and links to the national no-one left behind employability strategy. Operations are to end by 31 March 2023.

As part of the Brexit deal, The UK Government agreed to honour allocated European funding. This has allowed the Scottish Government to commit these funds to Moray Council until 31 March 2023.

The European funding available will cover 80% of the eligible costs. Your organisation  must be able to provide a source of match funding of at least 20%, either from your own funds or you can apply for this via the Local Employability Partnership (LEP)  by making this clear in your application form.  The match funding must not be other European funding and it must not be “in kind” funding.

Your project should work with people who have multiple barriers to employment., Further information is provided in our demand statement

Applications will be scored by the commissioning subgroup of the Local Employability Partnership (LEP).

The aim of the funding is to take forward the provision highlighted in our demand statement (Demand Statement)  and meet the relevant criteria of the European Social Fund Operational Programme.
