Andrew’s Story
Jennifer’s Story
Please meet Jennifer.
After being unemployed for 10 years, Jennifer decided she wanted to begin an employability journey to better support her family. She started volunteering at Ladybird Nursery in Lossiemouth three years ago and quickly found that she really enjoyed the role.
LadyBird Nursery were keen to retain Jennifer as she made a positive impact on the dynamics of the business and helped them expand the range of sessions they could offer to children. They successfully applied for Moray Employment Ready Initiative (MERI) which enabled Jennifer to secure a funded placement for 6 months within the nursery.
Jennifer started her MERI placement on 1st September 2025, and we’re delighted to share that she has since been offered a full time position and will be starting her SVQ3 later this month.
