Professionals working with children and young people are invited to attend the first in a planned series of webinars aimed at strengthening knowledge, confidence and practice around sexual health. The session will be led by Penny Gillies, Public Health Practitioner with NHS Grampian, and is designed to support schools and partner agencies working with young people.
This introductory webinar will provide an overview of key sexual health messages, local data, available clinic services, signposting pathways and guidance on responding to emergency situations. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and discuss current practice with colleagues from across the region.
The session is the first in a wider programme of learning opportunities. Future webinars will explore additional topics identified by practitioners, including pornography, sexual violence and abuse, LGBTQ+ issues and abortion. Recordings will be made available following each session to support wider learning and access.
